Should You Buy It?

Alright moms, is anyone else tired of reading reviews online that are vague or claim you'll use this item all the time but you get it at your baby shower and then don't touch it? Yeah, same. I always want to know the real life situations. All bottles say they're easy to clean and have the perfect flow and blah blah blah. I want to hear from moms like me what isn't a complete waste of money. So far, these are my favorites.

1. Baby Merlin Sleep Suit  https://amzn.to/3A4nvyK

I truly do not know what kind of magic they put in this sleep suit but I think it saved my life. For reference, neither of my children liked to sleep as babies. I wish I had discovered this with Charlie because she only slept 2-3 hours a time at most until she was 9 months old. Emma is quickly following in her footsteps and let me tell ya, I am TIRED. So I did what anyone would do and made a quick google search that led me to sleep training but I am weak and can't bring myself to sleep train. Next, I found this magical piece of fabric and immediately clicked the buy now option on Amazon. It was delivered and my baby who never sleeps (and I mean never, like 15 minute naps tops) is all the sudden sleeping without being held. It looks like they have options for what happens when they grow out of this as well such as sleep sacs and such.

2. Comotomo Bottles   https://amzn.to/3Kcj8pO

Unless your baby has colic or some tummy issues that require specialty bottles, these bottles are the way to go. They are three pieces which makes them incredibly easy to clean, they are easy for babies to hold, they aren't going to scratch or break because they are silicone, and did I mention that they are easy to clean? With Charlie I absolutely dreaded washing bottles but with these I don't even mind it. Highly recommend.

3. MAM Bottles   https://amzn.to/3FyHC98

Okay, I don't recommend these bottles lightly because they have a lot of pieces. However, they are much easier to clean than other brands and are AMAZING for babies with tummy troubles. The silicone piece in the bottom does something fancy and makes it so your baby doesn't get so gassy and although I have no idea how it works, it does.

4. Boon Grass Drying Rack  https://amzn.to/3ri029b

In all honesty I have never used another drying rack but I have also never needed to. This one fits so much and has different attachments that you can use for bottle nipples, pacis, etc. One thing I will say is make sure to clean the drying rack itself frequently or else it can get gross with a capital G.

5. This little strange mushroom teether  https://amzn.to/3GxLQzk

Okay so this little teether is cheap, strange, and so worth it. I guess they are supposed to be the best for breastfed babies but I think they would be great for any baby. The mushroom top flips up so that their hand can grab the pole in the center then the mushroom flips back down over their hand. There are a couple things on the mushroom that they can chew on and the way it is designed makes it easier for them to hold onto.

6. Angelcare Bath   https://amzn.to/3zYIwdS

I'm not really sure who designed the baby bathtubs that don't have holes in them to drain into the bathtub but those tubs suck. I'm sorry if you like them but these are so much better. This bath just sits right in the tub, you fill up the tub, bathe your baby, and drain the tub. Easy peasy. If you also struggle to be able to shower without your baby getting upset, plop them in this in the floor of the tub and take your shower.

7. Chicco Lullago Bassinet  https://amzn.to/3ri3bG1

This bassinet is small and portable but also sturdy and nice which isn't a combination you find very often. This bassinet fits nicely in a small part of our bedroom as opposed to a larger pack n' play. This bassinet would be great for travel if this pandemic ever ends and we get to go anywhere fun with the kids.

8. Anything Skip Hop. Diaper bags, toys, the little tables that babies stand in and play. All of it is amazing and I have never had a bad experience.

I am sure there are more things that should be on this list that I have simply forgotten so feel free to reach out and ask if I have tried a product!

In my search for great and easy products I have come across some products I would absolutely never use or never use again.

1. Diaper cream spatula. If you are afraid of putting diaper cream on your babies but with your hands, you are about to have a bad time as a parent.

2. Huggies diapers, I know some people are die hard huggies fans but I have just had no luck.

3. Highchairs with cloth covers. We got one with Charlie and it was the biggest pain in the you know what. Babies are messy, get one you can wipe down and thank me later.

4. Dr. Brown's bottles. They have too many pieces, they leak, they're all around annoying.

I hope this helps. Take the recommendations or leave them, everyone parents differently and that is OKAY. The only thing I will judge you for is the butt spatula and then I'll only judge you a little....maybe.

*Full disclosure I do have an Amazon Associates account which means if you feel so inclined to click these links and buy a product, I could get commission. I only post products I truly have used and love and trust me no one is making me say nice things about them.
